What is HeadShop 2024?
HeadShop 2024 is a software used to automatically create 3D heads from photographs.It is used inside DAZ Studio as a plugin and work with Genesis 3, 8, and 9 figures. Both are outputting a modified morph OBJ file and 4096×4096 texture files. HeadShop has been in development since 2007 and regularly introduces features not found in other photo-to-3D software.
What is the difference between HeadShop 2024 and LT?
LT is a simplified version of HeadShop 2024, LT misses LoveChild (a utility that allows making in-betweens between two photos), and it does not come with Style (hair), Accessories and Material libraries.
What is new in HeadShop 2024?
- The main news is the full support of Genesis 9 figure. Genesis 9 features many differences to previous Gen figures; smaller size, different head that incorporates neck, „unisex” figure that can be made Male or Female via sliders. In addition Gen 9 features very sophisticated de-formers to mimic expressions and poses.
- In addition, we developed 104 new AutoSculpt morphs for Genesis 8. The total number of morphs for Gen 8 and 9 is 224.
- Separated color picker for retouch and skin color. Fixes skin color in case auto skin-color is in-perfect.

- Love Child, an additional piece of sophisticated software that allows the morphing between two photos to create a third image. A slider can regulate the degree of resemblance to one or the other photo.
- Introduction of much improved texture blending that samples 3 separate point of skin surface.
